The Book Launch of “Sex Change, Social Change” by Viviane Namaste

Join us for an evening reception/conversation with Viviane Namaste as she launches her third book “Sex Change, Social Change: Reflections on Identity, Institutions, and Imperialism”.

Through different case studies relating to the law, human rights, health care and prostitution, “Sex Change, Social Change” exposes readers to the complexity of the issues involved in thinking about transsexual politics in relation to feminism.

Dr. Viviane Namaste is Assistant Professor, Women's Studies, at Simone de Beauvoir Institute, Concordia University .
