3 sets of workshops to choose from! A two-hour meet and greet networking lunch with authors and publishers! This is the second year that TWB has organized this symposium for writers of colour and native writers. All are welcome to attend.

Laura Davis is the author of “The Courage to Heal”, “Allies in Healing”, “I Thought We’d Never Speak Again” and many more. At this special event, Laura Davis will give a talk on reconciliation and then she will be interviewed live onstage by Mandy Bonisteel, professor and coordinator with George Brown College's Assaulted Women and Children Counsellor/Advocate Program.

4. A Celebration for Incorrigible by Velma Demerson
After decades of suffering in silence, Velma Demerson decided to tell the world her heart-rending story of being persecuted and jailed in 1939 in Toronto for living with a Chinese man whom she loved and later married. Incorrigible tells a story of a shameful episode in Canadian history and Velma’s successful struggle to survive and prevail. Joining Velma, who will read a selection from her well-received book, will be several speakers, including: Michele Landsberg. Journalist; Judy Rebick, Author; Marjorie Chan, Playwright; Harry Kopyto, Legal Advisor.
