Join us as we connect Toronto & New York , with a reading by Biju Mathew, author of Taxi: Cabs & Capitalism (New Press).

Taxi is a fast-paced and often moving tale of the struggles and occasional triumphs of those who work in the front of the cab, connecting themes as diverse as globalization and urban politics, immigrant history and multiculturalism. Buckle up, hold on tight, and enjoy the ride.

Biju Mathew is a professor of business at Rider University , New Jersey , a member of the Organizing Committee of the New York Taxi Workers' Alliance , and a coordinator for the Forum of Indian Left.
