Protecting Your Creativity with Instructor Anna Lidstone
Mondays in July: 4, 11, 18, 25 from 6:30pm to 9pm @ TWB

For most of us, creativity is a crucial part of our identities, and is often both a spiritual practice and a political undertaking. This course will explore what gets in the way of our creativity and what we can do to protect ourselves in order to stay true to who we are as creative beings. The course is suitable for all interests, from those simply wanting to live more creatively to those earning their living as an artist, and we will be defining “creativity” and “art” as broadly as possible.
This course is open to women and trans-folk.

SIX WEEK COURSE: TUESDAYS IN JULY AND AUGUST
Hilarious 101: a 6-week course with Instructor Mariko Tamaki
Tuesdays in July and August: 5, 12, 19, 26, August 2, 9 from 6:30pm to 9pm @ TWB
Fee: $80 (No Refunds) Enrollment limited to 15 participants
Mariko Tamaki invites participants to explore and debate what's funny and what's not, what works and what doesn't in this 6-week long class on comedy writing. Participants will read a selection of humorous (quirky, comical, “interesting,” silly, and funny) writing and will also hear from guest speakers about stand up and theatre writing. At the end of this class students should have a portfolio of short pieces, a selection of which will be compiled and distributed at the end of the course. Mariko promises it will be fun(ny).

This course will provide the opportunity for participants to learn about bisexuality and bisexual issues. This course is open to people of any and all sexual identities who want to learn more about bisexuality.

Four-Week Course: Tuesdays in June: Cuban Feminist Writing
With Instructor Clelia Rodríguez
This course strives to familiarize participants with an overview of Cuban feminist movements as well as twentieth-century Cuban female writers. Among the issues that will be discussed are ethnicity, race, class and politics.
THIS COURSE IS OPEN TO ALL.
NOTE: The required readings for each week will be available in English and Spanish. Participants are expected to come prepared for each session. All readings will be ready to be picked up two weeks prior to the course at the Women's Bookstore.
Week One: Introduction to Cuban feminist movements
Week Two: A look at accessibility to literary production and literary quality produced posteriori to the Cuban Revolution.
Week Three: Articulating spaces in the public and private sphere
Week Four: New voices on the streets of Havana , Matanzas and Santiago
