Join us for the launch of this highly satirical book dealing with issues around race and representation of the African-American Community.
damali ayo was born and raised in Washington , D.C. in 1972. She graduated from Brown University in 1994 concentrating on American civilization and public policy/American Institutions. Her art began to emerge after working in diversity theatre workshops with prison inmates in the mid-1990's. ayo then began using conceptual art to explore race relations and modern forms of colonialism.
